Sovereign analytical
infrastructure for
demanding environments

Lacuna Core is the next tier of the platform — built for organisations where analytical findings must be defensible under audit, data sovereignty is non-negotiable, and the stakes of a missed signal are consequential.

We are currently developing Core with a small number of beta partners who shape the product alongside us. Beta access is free. In return, we ask for structured feedback and collaboration on real use cases.

Four pillars of sovereign intelligence

Built for environments where
data sovereignty is non-negotiable.

🔐
Self-hosted Secrets Store

API credentials are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before leaving the administrator's browser, stored on your own server, and decrypted only in RAM on the analyst's device. Lacuna Labs never receives, stores, or has access to your credentials.

⚙️
Deterministic Results

Every analysis is deterministic — same corpus, same parameters, same result. Always. Results can be reproduced by any reviewer with access to the same documents, making your methodology defensible in any audit or oversight process.

👥
Enterprise SSO

Integrates with your existing identity infrastructure — Active Directory, Microsoft Entra, Google Workspace, or any SAML/OIDC provider. When an analyst leaves, access is revoked immediately through your existing processes.

Unlimited Scale

No document limits. No term limits. Process entire classified corpora — doctrine libraries, intelligence reports, research archives. The engine runs in the analyst's browser; compute scales with the device, not the subscription.

Self-hosted Secrets Store

Your keys never
leave your infrastructure.

API credentials are encrypted in the administrator's browser using AES-256-GCM — the same standard used by NATO and the financial sector for classified data — before being stored on your server. We built a system that works without knowing what's inside it.

Encrypted before leaving admin's browser
Stored as unreadable blob on your server
Decrypted only in RAM — never written to disk
Lacuna Labs never receives or stores your keys
# lacuna-config-server.js
# Your infrastructure. Your keys.

GET /config
→ serves encrypted blob
→ server never decrypts

Browser decrypts in RAM
→ AES-256-GCM via Web Crypto
→ keys never touch disk

Lacuna Labs sees: nothing.
Compliance and audit

Auditable by design.
Not by contract.

Lacuna Core's compliance posture is architectural — not contractual. Security teams can verify what runs, where it runs, and what it touches. No need to trust our policies when you can verify our architecture.

📋
Audit Log

Every analysis, every user action, every configuration change — logged and attributable. Full audit trail for compliance and oversight.

🔍
Reproducible Results

Any reviewer with the same corpus and parameters produces identical output. Methodology is documentable, peer-reviewable, and court-defensible.

🌐
Swiss Hosting

Platform hosted by Infomaniak SA, Geneva. Swiss jurisdiction — outside CLOUD Act. ISO 27001 certified infrastructure. 100% renewable energy.

🔐
AES-256-GCM

Military-grade encryption for credential storage. Same standard used by NATO and the financial sector. Mass market exemption — no export licence required.

📄
GDPR · LGPD

Zero data retention by architecture. No personal data processed server-side. DPA available for institutional customers.

🏗️
On-premise Option

Deploy the full platform within your network perimeter. Air-gapped environments supported. Contact us for deployment specifications.

Beta Programme

Shape the product.
Use it free.

We are selecting a small number of beta partners to develop Core alongside us. You get full access at no cost. We get structured feedback from real use cases in demanding environments. Beta places are limited and reviewed individually.

What we look for in beta partners:
Organisations with real analytical challenges — large document corpora, reproducibility requirements, or data sovereignty constraints. Legal, intelligence, compliance, audit, defence R&D, and strategic research teams. We are particularly interested in sectors where the investigative module would be most useful.

Use cases across domains

What analysts do with
Lacuna Core.

Classified environments across every sector of government and strategic research share a common problem: vast document corpora, limited time, and the need for findings that withstand scrutiny. Lacuna Core is deployed across the following domains.

Defence R&D
Doctrinal gap mapping
A defence ministry loads 400 doctrinal publications, strategic assessments and allied nation doctrine documents. In under ten minutes, the Heat Map surfaces which operational concepts appear in allied doctrine but are absent from national doctrine — revealing alignment gaps before a joint exercise exposes them. The findings are reproducible by any doctrine review board with access to the same documents.
Intelligence Analysis
Narrative emergence
An intelligence unit loads three months of open-source reporting on a specific region — news, academic papers, think tank publications. Pulse Patents reveals that patent filings are accelerating in a technology sector while Pulse Editorial coverage remains flat. The pre-competitive pattern is flagged 14 months before the technology appears in mainstream reporting. The corpus never leaves the analyst's workstation.
Public Health
Evidence gaps in policy
A national health agency loads 800 systematic reviews and clinical guidelines before drafting a new public health policy. Gap Analysis identifies which population subgroups — elderly migrants, rural adolescents, informal workers — are statistically absent from the evidence base. The policy team can cite a reproducible methodology for why these gaps justify a targeted research investment before the policy is published.
Legal & Regulatory
Precedent lacunae
A regulatory body loads its entire body of published decisions — 15 years, 2,000+ documents — before drafting new guidance on an emerging technology. The Co-occurrence map reveals which concepts have never appeared together in any ruling, identifying the regulatory blind spots that the new guidance must address. The deterministic output is submitted as a methodological annex to the regulatory impact assessment.
Strategic Studies
Geopolitical blind spots
A foreign affairs institute compares the corpus of security studies published in five different national academic traditions. The Geo Gaps analysis reveals which world regions are systematically absent from each tradition's literature — exposing the geographic biases that shape how different nations perceive the same security environment. The comparison is submitted to a parliamentary committee as evidence in a foreign policy review.
R&D Management
Portfolio gap analysis
A national science funding agency loads all active grant applications in a thematic call. Gap Analysis identifies which research approaches, methodologies and population groups are over-represented in submissions — and which are entirely absent. The programme officer uses the deterministic output to justify a supplementary call targeting the identified gaps, with a methodology that survives Freedom of Information review.
